North by Northeast Pt. 1

Current Love: Lights and Music - Cut Copy

Road Trip! I officially left West Lala Saturday morning to visit my new home in the great New England country side.
I had work on Friday, and after my parents and I went to our neighbor's dinner party. They got kind of drunk, so I had to drive myself back to the apt. I called X to watch a movie, but we ended up going to a party at Willowbrook that my roommate invited me to. It was kind of what I expected, but wasn't awful. We left around 1 or so and got cigars at CVS, smoked it in the Ufarms park, and went back to his house and played Resistance till 3. We took sake shots whenever someone died, and I was doing pretty good at not dying. Though the game was harder than I remembered. I wanted to play more, but I figured I should get some sleep, considering I was suppose to pick up my parents at 6 (they stayed at my neighbor's). So I went to my apt and took a nap before getting my parents in the morning and hitting the road.
I ended up driving for the first 6 hours. It wasn't bad and the time went by pretty past listening to music, although we did have to make 3 unplanned stops because my dad had to pee...

Austintown, OH

My shift in driving ended in a pizza joint called Wedgewood Pizza. Apparently my dad claims it's "one of the best pizza places in America" from his research on the internets. My dad ordered a pizza sandwich, a seafood pizza, and an "Original Everything" pizza, house special.
It was a lot of pizza.
I only ended up eating one original and a sandwich. I swear the sandwich pizza weighed 5 lbs.

a) Pizza joint's huge open kitchen and ovens. b) The order. c) Seafood pizza: shrimp, imitation crab, clam. d) Sandwich pizza: ham, sausage, green peppers, mushroom. e) Original pizza: olive, peperoni slices and sticks, sausage, mushroom. f) Lovely couch and the one I slept on in our room. g) The humongous king size bed. h) Pretty side table lamp shade with dry flowers in the paper. i) Dinner appetizer: crab cake. j) Pre-entree: Italian ice. k) Twist on the fortune cookie: fried wontons.

Bloomsburg, PA

My dad drove for the next 3 or so hours and reached our stop for the day, a cute bed and breakfast named The Inn at Turkey Hill. There's a very British country style to it. It's the first time we've really stayed at a B&B, so I was excited, especially about dinner as dad had claimed they have a great restaurant.
Before dinner, I took a dip in the 2 person jacuzzi, and it was very relaxing and refreshing. We went to dinner at 7:30, and it was pretty good. Although we did have to wait for 30 mins or so for our entree, because the kitchen was busy. I had roasted duck with mashed potatoes. Mm.

After dinner, I borrowed a movie from the front desk and watched it while my parents went to sleep. The movie was "Identity", and it had an interesting concept, I just wish the ending wasn't so bad. I passed out around midnight and slept for a good 8 hours.

---------------
Day 2 - Saturday

Did I just get Rick Roll'd by a sushi menu?

It was kind of hard waking up, because I haven't slept for so long. We got breakfast at the inn, and I had eggs and bacon. The weird thing was, I had a dream the night before about grilling two pieces of bacon.
We hit the road afterward and drove through the rest of Pennsylvania, stopped in New York for lunch at a Japanese restaurant (kind of meh), and finally hitting home sweet home Connecticut.

Glastonbury, CT
For tonight, we're staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton in the greater Hartford area. The closing date for our new home is tomorrow, so we technically are homeless at the moment. The hotel room has a really cute kitchen and stove top; made me want to cook something.
For dinner, who pigged out at the Chower Pot. I haven't had a big appetite these days, probably because I've been eating 3 meals a day while I'm use to one over the summer. Anyway, this place specialized in lobster and ribs, and it was pretty good food, I just wished I was more hungry.

I've been just hanging out at the hotel after dinner, now blogging and watching a South Park episode on a parody of Jenkem. I'm pretty tired, so gonna sleep soon. Tomorrow I'll get to see our new house for the first time. I haven't even seen pictures, so it should be exciting. w00t.

1) Izumi Sushi and Habachi in NY. 2) Huge prison on the border of CT. 3) 2 dozen of clams and 1 dozen of oyster at Chowder Pot. 4) Stuffed lobster!

Doctor's out, let's party

Last week the crew went down to Bloomington for Sean's party. It's my 2nd time there, and I actually got out to see the town a little and shopped at Urban Outfitters.

I'm too lazy to write all about it, so a picture book will do.

There were a lot going on in town that day like this bike race. Others included the Taste of Bloomington and some carnival.

Since we got to the party around 9, it was still kind of slow, so I went with Kaveh to his friend's shoot. Here they're setting up the bonfire scene.

We got cast as extras in the living room party scene.

"Act natural and party." I was drinking my Sparks.

Bffs dress alike. We got back to the party around 11.

Unfortunately the party got busted around midnight, because someone was peeing outside and the neighbors called the cops. Most people went to the bars, and I hung out with Jason and Leslie. I sat on the roof for awhile, and this was the view from there. Not too scenic unfortunately.

I was just about to pass out when everyone came back around 3. Things got kind of ridiculous. A lot of drunk dancing, warm wiener slapping (the edible kind), cake fighting, and ice tossing.

White boys tuffing the azn.

Everyone went to bed around 6, minus Erica who passed out after the bars. Good morning!
